Jeff Keicher is a proud father of three, a husband and a small business owner. He has been a resident of the DeKalb and Kane County area for his entire life and his family has been in this area since they arrived in the United States in the early 1900’s.
Jeff graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1996 with a degree in political science. Working through the CPCU Institutes Jeff attained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2000. He has also studied with the American College of Financial Services and attained the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) & Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) insurance designations in 2001.
He began his career with State Farm in a Sycamore State Farm Agency as a staff person. Upon graduation from NIU, Jeff worked in various positions in operations including the claims department. Jeff transitioned to the agency side of the business and opened his own State Farm Insurance Agency in Sycamore in 2006.
Today, Jeff runs a very successful insurance agency and feels strongly that his blessings in his community need to be paid back. He spends a good deal of time volunteering in the community in multiple capacities and on behalf of his industry with various groups. In addition to multiple boards and commissions, Jeff he has held executive board positions with the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, the Sycamore Public Library, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) of Illinois and the Sycamore Rotary Club. He has also spent many years serving on boards for the DeKalb Chapter of the American Red Cross, NAIFA Fox Valley and the Kishwaukee YMCA.
Jeff is motivated to represent the citizens of the 70th House District in the Illinois General Assembly. He has built his community relationships based on trust and personal commitment and seeks to carry that solid reputation for thoughtful consideration to Springfield. He leads in many organizations with a strong understanding of the value of dialog and seeking first to understand. Jeff feels strongly that the citizens of the 70th District need representation from an engaged business owner dedicated to doing the right thing, not looking for employment as a legislator.
